Jameelah has been singing since she was 6 years old. She is inspired by her mother an outstanding vocalist, piano player. Her desire to pursue a career singing and performing started at a very young age. Born in the Midwestern region of the U.S.A., Jameelah comes from a family of musicians and singers and is known for performing the covered songs of Aretha Franklin, Natalie Cole, Teena Marie, Patti La Belle, Billy Holiday, Etta James, Jill Scott, Alicia Keys, The Emotions, Heather Headley, EnVogue, Chaka Khan, Erica Badu and many of the neo-soul and smooth sounding artist of today and yesterday, receiving much recognition for her unique and outstanding vocals.

Jameelah is a new and upcoming indie recording artist who is passionate about the industry. She enjoys working in the communities across the world to make a difference where ever she can. She has been recognize for her talent in the midwest and western part of the country and is quickly moving her way through the southern part of the country. She released her debute cd 'Jameelah's World" in May 2007 and will be releasing her New Cd "Brand New Love in the "Summer 2010".

She recently moved to the Georgia area and her CD has been pretty successful in many areas of the USA and gaining popularity internationally in Amsterdam, London, Canada and other countries outside of the USA as well. Her single remake of Marvin Gaye's classic What's going on came in 2nd to Wayman Tsidale - Front Runna on smooth jazz spaces top 10 internet radio located in Bonaire, GA. Her music debuted on Kuvo 98.3Jazz fm radio in Denver Colorado and has been aired on many syndicated radio stations internationally as well as many internet radio stations in the USA
